Ollie heard the Albany Symphony at Troy Savings Bank tonight with his friend, which was great. Here is what was listed on the website:
BLAIR MCMILLEN - PIANO
STRAVINSKY- OCTET FOR WINDS
JOAN TOWER - RAPIDS FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA
CONOR BROWN - NEW WORK (WORLD PREMIER)
BEETHOVEN - SYMPHONY NO. 3, "EROICA"
Brown and Tower were there to introduce their own and own compositions. Ollie said that the Brown piece had humor in the use of the marimba, which he liked. He said Tower's piece was towering. He was so-so on Stravinsky tonight and loved the Beethoven, but it was painfully loud a couple of times.
The lamb got the kids out to help with chores, and see the new lamb.
The rest of the day Lotta and Leo played with Jas, a friend over for a playdate. Ollie had a piano lesson. His teacher Tim Dunne wants to get in a couple of lessons before going to Russia, Petersburgh, to finish a recording/world premier of his work.
